You design the technology and translate the waves into the right algorithms that make this possible, together with our team of engineers.

What you’ll do

Further develop our wave technology: wave profiles, algorithms, lagoon layout, modular design
Run and validate CFD simulations against measurement data and scale model results
Translate sold projects into custom technical designs: dimensioning, CAD, full specifications
Push the next generation forward, more efficient, more powerful, closer to the real thing
Travel internationally to fine-tune waves on site. Frequent travel in your first year, regular travel after that, every pool brings its own particularities

What you bring

Master’s degree in engineering: mechanical, software, mechatronics or a related discipline
Surf experience is a must. Knowing and understanding waves is essential.
Minimum 3 years of experience with water, flow or dynamic structures. Wave engineering experience is not required. Naval, hydraulic, wave energy, offshore, aerospace, … are solid backgrounds
Experience with CFD is required. First-principles thinker, you estimate orders of magnitude before you simulate
Hands-on, with a genuine drive for innovation, sustainability, and surf culture
A global mindset, comfortable across cultures and time zones, ready to travel in weeks-long stretches with regular return periods to our knowledge centre in Belgium
Fluent in English
